About Us
The Ada Canyon Medical Education Consortium is accredited by the Utah Medical Association and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. It was established in Boise, Idaho in 1971 by its three original co-sponsors: Ada County Medical Society, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, and St. Luke's Regional Medical Center. The Consortium's purpose is to provide planned CME activities to meet the medical information needs of the physicians of Southwest Idaho.
ACMEC provides AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM and programming, and is a fully accredited provider for CME within the geographical border of the State of Idaho, and contiguous states. ACMEC provides close to 1,400 hours of CME instruction per year, recording over 23,000 individual credit hours for providers annually.
